Tiberius (Mongrel)
When we first met Tiberius (or Ty for short) he was on the street trading blow-jobs for hits off his dealer’s crack pipe. We took him in and immediately put him trough intensive rehab. He has a lot of rambunctious, awful behaviours that we attribute to the withdrawals. These behaviors piss of his older brother (Harley is also Ty’s NA sponsor) who has to give Ty a smack in the face every so often to remind him who’s boss. These smacks also serve the purpose of keeping Ty on his strict 12 step program. It’s hard but rewarding work-saving Ty from his life of debauchery.
All joking aside- (Since neither addiction or abandoned animals are jokes) Adopting a puppy or dog from you local shelter or SPCA is a very rewarding and amazing thing to do. If you are adding a four-legged member to your family please consider a rescue animal. The pet over population in America is a real problem and no-kill shelters are over crowded and always in need of supplies and funding. If you can’t/won’t adopt then please donate your time or money. Bringing an unloved or abused animal for a walk or spending some time with one will totally rock your world. I promise. Petfinder.com is a great place to start your search for a shelter dog.
